looking forward to the day to come

I'm enjoying the early morning quiet of an autumn morning right now. I think my body has finally gotten over the change in seasons and daylight savings and I'm back to being a morning person. I've missed this time when the light isn't quite at full strength and the house is still.

Today is sadievale's annual pumpkin tea. My current and pumpkin seed scones were baked last night with great success and the pumpkin mock Devonshire cream (spiked with pumpkin purée and a pinch of pumpkin spice) is ready to go. I just need to pull out the serving dishes...

I'm super excited because redthreaded is coming over to dress at my house, go to the tea and spend the night at my house. i haven't seen her since CosCol 06 so I can't wait to hang out with her again! I'm also excited to see all the new faces that have recently moved to the area - this is the first costuming event since the great migration.

I should dash, I was a very good girl and ironed my frock last night but I still have hair and make-up to do and serving dishes to dig out... oh yeah and get dressed.
