home again & not awake yet

I am still so tired! :>

An early reveille, the long drive, the heat and, above all, the humidity made for a very, very long day yesterday. I’m still recovering. The Faire was fun though and I had a thoroughly good time.

I have tons more pics and such but I’ll post those later. Here are some teasers for you in the in the meantime.

That second picture is just darling! Looking good. :)

The dress and sleeves look fantastic...they look like clothing, not costume.

Thank you!

Yeah, it felt more like clothing not a costume when I wore it. I forsee this being a favorite Faire outfit - it was so comfortable!

Fascinimating. I love how your costume looks.

Oh, wow! You look just fantastic--all of you. I love how your garb turned out. :D

Good gracious, is that hair *all* Bridget's? I'm used to looking at a lot of hair in the mirror, but that's...wow.

[identity profile] jennylafleur.livejournal.com 2004-08-30 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you. It was fun that everyone looked great, no one felt left out. :>

Nope, the hair isn't all Bridget's. Her hair only went to about the bottom of the silver trim. The rest is fake hair extensions. Pretty cool, huh? *grin* I was actually surprised how good it looked. We lucked out on the perfect shade of hair!

When you say the perfect shade of hair, you really mean it! It looks spectacular, as does everyone else. Where did you get that straw hat, by the way? It's a darling shape.

[identity profile] jennylafleur.livejournal.com 2004-08-30 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
The hat is from Colonial Williamsburg. Sometimes they carry smaller brimmed straw hats along with the wide ones. I actually had to take the 18th century trimmings off of this one for the Faire (or I should say [livejournal.com profile] elegant_musings did so I could finish up that binding.) *wink*

It's just a shallow crowned hat with a ribbon sewn about a third of the way down and drawn up. I think for next time I wear it, I'll use green ribbon. I was afraid it might be too much but I don't think so now. :>

Oh everyone looks great. B's hair is long and luxurious.

Thanks!

I loved looking at B's hair all day, especially the way the curls bounced when she walked. What fun! I walked behind her a lot at the faire! *hee hee* :>

Wow! You look amazing!
