oh well

Umm... my "Green Pistachio" silk taffeta came the other day. I don't really like it. Rather I should say it's not what I had in mind. It's a little darker and more teal than I wanted. I was hoping for something more aquamarine. Oh well.

Just as well I put the Redingote on hold.

It's the first time I've bought fabric online (without swatches) and not been happy. Not a bad record. I'll come up with something to do with it I'm sure ...someday. Maybe B will like it for something. :>

Since you've already got others drooling over your fabric, I shan't offer yet another plea to buy you out...but I'm definitely having fun looking at the link!

BTW, you had mentioned a method of tying/fastening on Brunswick lower sleeves. I'm almost done with my figured velvet (really, chenille, but who's looking that closely?) 18th century hoodie, and would love to know how period people attached detachable sleeves.
