a serious lack of WWKD

I really don't know what is wrong with me. I have so much to do costuming wise before CC and I haven't been doing anything. It will be my own stupid fault that I don't have new things finished to wear but to be honest I haven't been in the mood the sew lately. Not good timing for CADD.

I've been looking at pics from CC06 to try and whip myself up into excitement for the sewing part (not just the wearing) and I think the old WWKD is finially kicking in... So I'm off to work on something - not sure what yet. Perhaps the chemise gown? Or the sleeves on the Fire? Or... :>

I sometimes find reviewing the lists help, and I sometimes find chatting with other attendees helps. L and M and I played a little round-robin last week about flight-scheduling and comparing progress and comparing class-notes, and that helped me focus. I'm trying to keep myself to progress on the Earth dress, instead of diluting efforts into the very tempting copper/turquoise shot upholstery stripe I'm fantasizing as a Venetian. Must finish one project, not concieve of 3 more! (Harry Potter wouldn't be hard to do, and finishing the Pink Pirate, and a crystal necklace....No, focus on Earth. Italian smocking, American Smocking, underbodice...)

I do love your fire costume so far. I must take some pics of Earth to show y-all what I've done.

The lists are petrifying me, it seems so impossible. Looking at pictures from last CC and remembering the craziness that worked out was good though. Like the fact I bought the fabric for my gala underdress the week before my flight and finished the gala as I was rushing out the door to Dulles. Oh and I was sick with a head cold the two weeks before too. It gives me hope I can pull this off afterall! :>

I am dying to see your Earth! I hope you can get to the copper/turquoise Venetian too, your description of it at Fort Fred sounded so cool. Not that I would encourage you to unfocus or anything... *wink*
