a serious lack of WWKD

I really don't know what is wrong with me. I've had all week to work on the robe volante and is it even started yet? Nope. I've research, I've bought supplies, I've stroked the fabric but that is about all. I do have part of an excuse in work and a couple of really bad headaches that sucked my energy in the afternoons. I've also been just a tiny bit burnt out after the 14 hour wonder but still. I'm sad that I won't have it for tomorrow. *pouts* I'm trying to decide if I want to continue on and make it now anyway or if I should move on and come back to it closer to or after CC.

I think I may have an event I can wear a chemise a la reine to in May. It's another tight deadline but it would be fun to wear. If my fabric comes by then of course, which it should. I can always work on the toile now.

Trouble is I have too many projects, too little WWKD and way too much SADD going on right now. With only 3 months to CC I really need to get more focused! *slaps self* Come on Jenny - pull yourself together!! :P

I have a serious lack of WWKD now too. Which, um, is scary :)

Of course, I haven't been home for more than a few any night this week. I'm hoping to get some major stuff done this weekend.

The chemise a la reine is on slight hold as the gala dress is more panic worthy :)

Scary is right! I think I hear the sky falling!! *grin*

More panic worthy huh? A good phrase that... I think I shall steal it. But really a Gala dress that is not the most panic worthy thing on your list is not a proper Gala dress! I'm not even thinking about mine yet. I need the corset first before I can start panicking. :>

Don't wait to work on the chemise too long. I need you work out all the kinks so mine can be perfect! *wicked grin*

Please, feel free. It is a rather good phrase :)

It's just the amount of detail I want to put in the gala dress is just, well, um, yikes is the best word for it.

And I should be back on the chemise dress before too long. A kink to mention though, I wanted a slight train. I cut the back 5 inches longer than the front. If you notice in the pictures, it's even all around. Well, except for the sides being a little shorter. I'm wearing modern heels in the picture, so it's a relatively easy to deal with thing, but instead of having a slight train it'll be even all around.

Thing is, the back is higher than the front, so of course it's shorter in back! I'm just glad I added the length. That's the price of figuring it out in your final fabric :)

Oh good to know! *jots down in notes* If I want this for the local event I don't think I'll have time for a full mock-up so that is very handy info. Thanks muchly!

I haden't thought of a trian. I think most of the repros I've seen are not trianed...

I hear you! I think I have approximately seven things I'm like "hey, maybe I'll make this for Costume College" about. Obviously I won't be getting it all done, and knowing me, I'll have half of this, a third of that, and not one completed ensemble, LOL! ;)

Sad thing is I actually have fabric and patterns for all my projects. I just have too many ideas for the stash!
