website updates

Been working on my website the last few days so there are now lots of updates there! Mostly updated diaries but a few extras in the Study section in an attempt to have my site better reflect the info in this LJ...

Empty Pockets - finished! My first completed project of 2007.
Candy Stays - a new project with a new diary
Costumes - updated page with new/finished diaries. Also added a pending list of projects for your veiwing pleasure. :>
Study - added new pages on boning & "the Art of the Mantua Maker"
Williamsburg snapshots - newly orgnaized and a new page from our Dec 2006 visit

The new page from Williamsburg are the pics I promised you ages ago - I'd totally forgotten about that until looking up some lj tags. Opps! :>

The link for Williamsburg snapshots says Page not found. We're hoping to go back there within the next year. We'd love to go for Xmas. Our timeshare is nearby.
Doing websites is time consuming but gratifying work.

The link is fixed - thanks for letting me know. You can always get to it through the Study page as well. :>

If you do come out to Williamsburg do let me know! I live less than 2 hours away so I'd love to meet up with you - we could do the Milliners shop together. :> Everything around CW gets packed at Xmas, you might want to start looking into making reservations now (if it's not already too late).

We own a timeshare there so it shouldn't be any problem. We just have to see when we want to go. I'd like to go when things are decorated for Xmas but not necessarily AT Xmas. I won't be working (which used to be the main criteria) and hubby *says* he's taking the whole month off of work. The decision should be made pretty soon. I'm planning on going to the San Francisco Dickens Faire in Dec too with the GBACG.
I will definitely let you know. I also talked to [livejournal.com profile] marcine about meeting up, in costume, for tea at the Williamsburg Inn. I've been there and the food is sooooo good. I would probably wear my MA dress as that is the only thing I have close to that era. I got "fitted" for a corset at one of the shops. I'd love to make one of the hats that I missed out on winning on the auction from you. :)
We've been to HW twice and loved it so much, we bought a week at the Marriott timeshare. We have friends who live in Williamsburg too. These are my photos from there http://www.pbase.com/cinnamonhrts/williamsburg_2004&page=1
I LUV the Williamsburg Antique Mall.

That sounds lovely! There is also a tea shop in Williamsburg that I have heard nothing but rave reviews about, Taste (http://www.teamuse.com/article_030503.html). I keep trying to get down there to have a proper tea and haven't been able too yet. Let me know and we will definitely do something! :>

I've been to Taste, shortly after they opened, and it was very good. I wrote up a review of them on my website. You just have to scroll down thru all the other ones on this page to find it. http://www.angelfire.com/sc3/justacupoftea/favoritetearooms.html
This album has photos of it. I went to a couple tearooms while we were there. http://www.pbase.com/cinnamonhrts/williamsburg_va_tearooms

Oh and the Christmas decorations go up for the Grand Illumination, which is the first weekend in Dec and stay up until Twelfth Night. They usually aren't as good or as plentiful after the New Year though. :>
