Mine mostly hasn't (and to be honest, it's been that way at work today too). I find that most people assume everyone in the room (or f-list) must agree with them, because theirs is the only reasonable political position.

I don't care what someone's political leanings are, as long as they are respectful about it. But I find that a lot of people just make personal statements about anyone who feels a certain way, and it's hard not to take that kind of stuff personally.

I keep my mouth shut about politics, because I'm sure that if I vented my positions on things, it would put some of my friends off. So I don't. But obviously other people don't feel the same way about it. So I just try not to be turned off by them, and look past it. But it's hard to do around election-time. Either I have to listen to gloating or complaints, so I can't win!

Ah well.
